Analytical balances with division from 0.1mg to 1mg and maximum capacity from 110g to 510g (CE approved according to directive 2014/31 / EU)
CRYSTAL series Gibertini analytical balances with division from 0.1mg to 1mg and maximum capacity from 110g to 510g (CE approved according to directive 2014/31/EU), offer fast and reliable results, thanks to their intuitive operation. With the ability to view different units, the visual indication of stable weight, Bar-Graph for dosage and percentage reading speed up the laboratory's production process.
The best repeatability possible (1d) and compliance with USP, Ph.Eur, GMP, GLP standards obtained thanks to the magnetic compensation cell.
Calculate Minimum Weight Eu.Ph. (2.1.7)The analytical balances of the Crystal series are used in the pharmaceutical field for their precision and sensitivity. With resolution from 0.1mg to 1mg and ranges up to 510g they are all CE approved.
What is the CE marking?
According to the EU directive 2014/31 / EU, the CE marking is a mandatory procedure and must be performed by the manufacturer of the instrument. It is a declaration of conformity on the safety and health requirements provided for by the directive. Instruments used for direct sale to the public or for pre-packaging must have CE marking (Law 690)
According to the ministerial decree n. 93 of 21 April 2017, all weighing instruments used in direct sales or for commercial transactions must be subjected to first verification (approval) and subsequent renewals every 3 years (periodic verification).
All the scales of the Crystal series are equipped with a magnetic compensation cell that guarantee their quality and high repeatability.
The requests for calibration service from accurate, efficient and compliant laboratories are constantly increasing in all sectors. Gibertini offers certified and accredited services. We support and assist your laboratory instruments throughout their entire life cycle.
To ensure compliance with the required standards and the reliability of the measurement results ( GMP, GLP, Ph.Eur ).
Quality ServiceAll CE approved Crystal analytical balances have internal calibration. They differ in capacity and resolution and in the protection module: circular and open or closed, with side or top access .
And with the maintenance and technical assistance service we will follow your instrument from installation IQ / OQ to maintenance, up to periodic calibration and repair.

When you need to analyze a solid or liquid sample, or in dosing, the first operation to be performed in the laboratory is the weighing and you need an reliable analytical balance. The choice of the balance is essential to obtain an accurate result.
The Crystal series scales are used for:
The Minimum Weight of a balance is determined by the environmental conditions, by the location and by its magnetic cell. The minimum weight is the lower weight limit where the calibration uncertainty meets the required accuracy . Below, the data read is not reliable.
To determine the minimum weight with clarity and accuracy, the calibration operations must be carried out in the instrument's working environment.
In the pharmaceutical field, the determination of the minimum weight derives from the repeatability usually performed at 5% of the instrument capacity. The Gibertini Quality service is able to provide the Minimum Weigh value during calibration or installation operations.
The new chapter was published in July 2021 and entered into force on January 1, 2022.
During calibration, a relationship is established between the known values of the certified test weights and the values measured by the balance. Chapter 2.1.7 states that “... the instruments must be periodically calibrated [...] by the user or by a suitable competent body”. There are three requirements established in the Ph.Eur. (2.1.17):
The calibration of an instrument according to the Eu.Ph. (2.1.7) must be performed by an accredited center. The Gibertini 17025 calibration service guarantees competence through its LAT094 accreditation.
A test load not exceeding 5% of the maximum capacity of the balance, or at least equal to 100 mg, is used to check the repeatability. The weight is placed 10 times on the weighing pan, zeroing the instrument before each measurement.
Per il calcolo della sensibilità, viene posto un peso certificato compreso tra il 5% e il 100% della portata della bilancia e viene rilevata l'indicazione.
The smallest possible sample weight on a laboratory balance is related to the minimum weight (R), which is 2000 times the standard deviation. Therefore, if the calculated standard deviation turns out to be s = 0.25 mg, the minimum weight will be R = 500 mg.
Below is the table of the minimum possible weights for the Crystal analytical balance
Model | Capacity | Division | Minimum Weight (Rmin) |
---|---|---|---|
CRYSTAL 100 CAL CE | 110 g | 0.1 mg | 82 mg |
CRYSTAL 200 CAL CE | 210 g | 0.1 mg | 82 mg |
CRYSTAL 300 CAL CE | 310 g | 0.1 mg | 82 mg |
