SDEE
Digital Distiller for wines, spirits and beers, for determining the alcoholic strength by volume (ABV) and volatile acidity.
Digital Distiller for wines, spirits and beers, for determining the alcoholic strength by volume (ABV) and volatile acidity.
FULLY AUTOMATIC DISTILLER for wine, spirits, perfumes or other alcoholic solutions for the determination of the alcoholic strength by volume (ABV).
INTEGRATED STEAM GENERATOR connected directly to tap water, with user-interchangeable demineralization column (autonomy 100 liters - about 400 volatile acidity analyzes). There is no longer a need for distilled water. After distillation the instrument is automatically locked to avoid any waste of water. Also available without generator (mod. SDEE / SV).
The SDEE distiller allows accurate and rapid results thanks to the electrode system for boiling the liquid for the distillation process and steam current for the determination of acidity
Wine distillation | 100 ml in 3 ÷ 4 minutes | 200 ml in 6 ÷ 7 minutes |
Spirits distillation | 100 ml in 4 ÷ 8 minutes | |
Volatile acidity | 20 ml in 6 ÷ 7 minutes | |
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) | 50 ml in 6 ÷ 7 minutes | |
Scorbic Acid | 250 ml in 6 ÷ 7 minutes |
SUPER DEE is produced in compliance with directives 2006/42 EEC and 85/375 / EEC for the safety of analysts, with directive 2014/30 / EU (electromagnetic compatibility) and the official OIV method.
The required sample quantity is 100 or 200 ml for the alcohol content, 20 ml for the volatile acidity and 50 ml for the SO2. For alcohol distillation, the process is performed via electrodes, adding reagents to neutralize and boil the sample.
Unlike steam entrainment stills, SUPERDEE prevents the entrainment of acetic acid into the distillate, which can alter the alcohol determination. It also performs the distillation in just 4 minutes.
The distillate is collected in a volumetric flask mounted on a support connected to an analytical balance. The distillation is stopped when a predefined volume is collected for the next density measurement.
INDUSTRY 4.0 - It can be connected to a PC via the RS232 output for sharing distillation data.
Control panel with easy-to-read alphanumeric display and keyboard. Manages and controls the microprocessor for :
Mainly designed for the determination of the alcohol content, SDEE can be used for volatile acidity (20 ml sample) and for SO2 (50 ml).
Accuracy | Repeatability | Range | |
---|---|---|---|
Alcohol | 0.005 % vol | ±0.01 % vol (15÷25°C) | 0.050÷99.980% vol |
Volatile Acidity | 0.005% w | ± 0.01% vol (15 ÷ 25 ° C) | 0 ÷ 100 |
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) | 0.00001 | ± 0.00002 | 0.5 ÷ 2.25 (d20 / 20) |
Sorbic Acid | 0.00001 | ± 0.00002 | 0.79000 ÷ 0.99995 (d20 / 20) |
The Super DEE automatic distiller can be supplied with INTEGRATED STEAM GENERATOR (mod. SDEE) or without generator (mod. SDEE / SV).
All the instruments of the SDEE series are equipped with:
Supply voltage / power | 220 VAC - 15A max |

Net weight | 41 kg |
Max temperature | 20°C |
Minimum pressure | 1.5 bar |
minimum flow | 5 liters/min |
For all SDEE instruments the following accessories are available :
2.3.1 Alcoholic strength by volume. According to the current legislation for wines Distillers or steam extraction apparatus can be used provided that they satisfy the following test: Distill a hydroalcoholic mixture 5 times in a row at 10% vol. After the last distillation, the distillate must have an alcoholic strength by volume of at least 9.9% vol, ie during each distillation a quantity of alcohol greater than 0.02% vol must not be lost. For spirit drinks, the device must meet the following requirements: The distillation of 200 ml of hydroalcoholic solution, with a known title close to 50% vol. it must not produce an alcohol loss greater than 0.1% vol.
2.3.2 Volatile acidity The EEC regulation does not prescribe a single type of distillation apparatus, but states that any apparatus or technique that satisfies the following 3 requirements constitutes an official international apparatus or technique.
Ethanol is found in many industrial food products (a research conducted in Austria a couple of years ago showed the presence of alcohol in 17 out of 19 children's snacks), used mainly as an antimicrobial.
PastryIn addition to food preservation, ethyl alcohol is widely used in pastry as an ingredient. For example, it is used to prepare creams and fillings.
